2:7 Club Studies on Revelation, Halfway Na!

Since the group started studying the Book of Revelation they were amazed about what will occur in the future. Contrary to what many are saying the book of Revelation is a wonderful book to read. It is because it contains exciting and amazing prophecies. Thereis nothing to fear about its contents because when a person has established a relationship with the Lord, he is assured of eternal and he will not experience the horrible things that will take place when the end times come. As the group continue studying Revelation their eagerness to share the gospel increased especially to their own loved ones in order to help them escape the wrath of God.(icv)

The Oriental Mindoro Trip

It was May 1-3, 2008 when the 2:7 Club members went and visited Batalan Fundamental Baptist Church in Pola, Oriental Mindoro and Ranzo Baptist Church in Pinamalayan, Oriental Mindoro. This trip was made for the purpose of holding the 2:7 Club 2nd Quarterly Evangelism and Missions Trip. The group is composed of twenty-three (23) members which include the wives of the members. It was an amazing trip because of the warm respond of the people in the said places.
Though the work was hard, it was very rewarding because many souls committed themselves to the Lord Jesus as their Savior. This trip was great and amazing. The Lord poured out His blessings and taught us many lessons. In a very limited resources, He taught us to depend on Him. He is truly a great provider because it was He who made this trip possible and successful. The club members appreciate the warm welcome made by the people in the said places and we are very thankful for the big big support extended to us by Ptr. & Mrs. Rodgie Lagtapon.
In Ranzo, Pinamalayan Oriental Mindoro, house to house evangelism was undertaken including the invitation to barangay folks to watch the free film showing. It was really amazing because after the film showing many raised their hands showing that they received the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior. At the end of this mission trip Two Hundred Seventy Four (274) souls surrendered their lives to Jesus Christ. Praise the Lord!

History

The 2:7 Club is one of the ministries of Hillside Christian Church (formerly Rizal Independent Baptist Church or RIBC) in Rizal, Laguna, Philippines. It came to existence since April 2006. This club was established for the purpose of discipling new believers in Christ.During the meeting there were thirteen (13 ) men of the church attended then later on its attendance increase to sixteen (16). The group meets regularly as early as 5:00 0' clock in the morning of Saturdays. Attending 2:7 Club meeting helped the members to know more about God as they study the Bible. Through this ministry the members were developed in the following areas: Scripture memorization, song leading, teaching the Word of God and also on how to share the Gospel to others.

As the years go by, and as the members grow faithfully in the Lord, this group of men realized the importance and the need of sharing the gospel. That's why as early of 2008, each of them committed themselves to join the missions program of the club. For the year2008, the 2:7 Club has already conducted four quarterly evangelism and the results were in deed great!. Among the places where the group visited were: Pola and Pinamalayan, Oriental Mindoro, Brgy. San Isidro, San Pablo City and Villa Amparo, Imus, Cavite.

Because of the good harvests and the joy of following the call of the Lord Jesus the club is committed to make missions as its regular program and ministry.(icv)
